Wow, things have been so crazy! I finally had DJ on November 29th after 36 hours of labor, an hour of pushing just to get him stuck because of my high pubic arch and ended up in the OR for a c section. It really was a good thing, he came out blue because the cord was so tight around his neck twice that it was hindering him from coming down any further and had I pushed him out I could have strangled him and who knows if he could have been revived at that point. He did have to have oxygen after he was born because he was already having issues from how tight he cord was.
Anyways, I'll post a complete birth story later. I don't have that kind of time today... it seems like I don't have time for much these days. I just finally ordered DJ's birth announcements over a month after he was born. In my defense I had a hard time with my c section and Tim started a new shift at work so my schedule has been thrown even further for a loop after having DJ.
How about some non baby related news? Apparently another one of my mother in law's dogs ruptured disks in it's back. Last year when Lego did I was thinking it was an accident even though Tim's grandma swears she saw his brother kick Lego. Now that Onyx has the same issue I'm starting to wonder. Carolyn said that they have been picking them up the way they are supposed to but it hasn't even been icy out. Carolyn is just as stumped... she pointed out how Onyx pretty much lays around all day and has such short legs, not to mention she is blind and has never jumped onto the couch or into a chair ever.
More non baby news? I don't think I ever posted about my dad getting hurt. Apparently he is going to be having surgery, or at least it sounds like it right now. Poor guy already has issues with his knees when it gets cold and now I'm sure after this shoulder injury he will ache there too in the cold. After hearing all of his injuries I'm shocked he can even move his arm or neck.
So we still haven't found Diesel a home. I know I shouldn't have kept him this long and should have just gotten rid of him when he was dropped off but I couldn't live with myself always wondering if he was euthanized or adopted. He gets along with the other dogs just fine, but I still have not been able to find a way to train him. Whoever dropped him off was a bad person, but that should be evident enough from the losers dropping him off. At lease he is healthy now, and plump!
Well I think that is about all the time DJ will allow me. He is such a cuddle bug and loves snoozing on my chest. I'm thinking about getting a co-sleeper for our bed because Tim is gone half the night, that way I could climb in bed and have DJ right with me but safe too. Either way, my lil man is waking up and its time to eat!
